Oh yes, I have stooped to a whole new low of Naruto fangirlishness. For kicks, I made a vector version of the skill wheel found in the Japanese Naruto databooks.

I even got translations so each of the points has the correct label. And then? I figured out the skill levels for my fan characters. Oh yes, I am bad. And then Jass did his team (the ones in his ficlet “The Mission”) too.

And then? While we were on a roll, we did our favorite canon characters using the databooks.

I don’t think it gets much worse than this, ladies and gentlemen. ^^;

Yes, we didn’t have class today.
Yes, we are bored while waiting for chapter 338.
And yes, we are in the upper echelons of geekdom.

(If anyone wants a blank copy of my wheel, you’ll have to ask me for it. I’ve been encountering a bit too many rips and art theft lately to just pop it up.)

*GLOMP* And I completely forgot to mention this, but we loved the postcard, Ook! *super tackle glomps*

Remind me if I’m trying to get into a chat on Gaia: Lie about my age. Just out and out lie. I think 19 will be good. I miss being 19.

God, it’s like the kiss of death admitting you’re an adult on there. I’m not looking to do anything bad/nasty/wrong, I just wanted to chat about anime I like.

I’ll try not to reveal too many spoilers, but this post does contain some information and my very biased opinion regarding Naruto episodes 203 - 207.

I finally got the chance to check out the last episode of the latest Naruto filler arc. In a nutshell, it was what I’ve come to expect from a filler arc. I don’t know how else to better describe it.

Avatar: TLA has reached new levels of being a pseudo-anime. The latest episode, Zuko Alone, was simply gorgeous! The fight scene near the end was perfect; all I could think of was something out of Naruto, Samurai Champloo, Kenshin, or any of the other samurai/ninja anime I’ve seen. Delicious. ^_^

Yep, I’m a 26 year old woman completely and utterly turned on by a 17 year old fictional character. ^__^ And I’m damned proud of it!

Still trying to figure out some of the bugs in the archive, but I’m feeling lazy. After staying up until 3am every night and staring at code approximately 6 hours a day, I’m not feeling all that particurly driven to do the things I promised for the archive.

The Great Lakes Kite Festival is this next weekend and as I’m sure all my friends know, I go every year whether it’s rain or shine. ^_^

This year, I’m fixing fajitas for my contribution. Since everyone’s adults now, I’ve been feeling like showing off my mad grilling skillz. I’m making one recipe for Tequila-marinated beef and then another called “Rattlesnake.” (I promise I’ll share on the forums once I’ve had a chance to try them.)

I just hope Scott isn’t as big an asshat next weekend as he was this. God, he’s almost 21 now and he’s was acting like he was maybe 11. Lately he’s been spending 99% of his time hanging around these little kids in the trailer park, barely spending any time at home. I finally tracked him down about a week ago and asked if he was going to Great Lakes. It’s always the same time each year, the weekend before Memorial Day. I just want to know who is going, so I know how much food I’m fixing Friday night. He wants to know when it is. *sigh* (Same time it’s always been?) He then wants MY permission to bring along this 11 year old kid who repeatedly glomped him while we were talking. (…. disturbing…)

That’s something he’s going to have to ask his mom or his brothers, since they’re the ones with the larger vehicles. My family just has a little, compact car that’s going to be crammed. Plus, none of us want to be responsible for any little kids. He then proceeds to go all emo on me because his mom’s never home and that she’s spending ALL her time over at his grandparents, yadda, yadda. (His grandma just had a stroke, grandpa just had surgery to repair a detached retina). Okay, so you can’t CALL her? Call your brothers?

We went to a food auction this weekend with the hopes of maybe getting some food at reduced cost. He spent most of it being generally annoying and childish. The little kids ahead of us with the toy gun were annoying enough (”Click-click-click-click-click-click” for 4 hours) without him acting whiny or being an emo towards his mom and brother.

At one point, the auction sold full cases of suckers that were kind of like a Push-Pop. He wasn’t paying attention and asked what they were.
I replied, “Candy.”
Scott: “I know, but what kind are they?”
Me: “Suckers.”

He then starts whistling the “S” in suckers and eventually entertains himself by whistling the S in every word that had S in it. (Kind of like that beaver in Lady and the Tramp.) First time was a little cute, but 15 minutes later I was starting to feel homicidal.

Every time his family bought something, he kept telling them they should have gotten more or they had to bid on something. (Usually candy.) He did the same thing that he did with the suckers a little later when they auctioned off some powered soup mixes (Minestrone and Clam Chowder).

At another point, someone’s cell phone rang and they had a custom ringtone. Some time earlier, Scott had grabbed his mom’s cell and had become the mad snap-shotter. He asks if I wanted to hear his. I have to assume he means a ringtone. Not knowing if he still had the cell or not, I turned around and glared at him. He doesn’t have it, but he immediately begins giggling that he “made me look.”

Honestly, if he’s going to act like that all next weekend or if he decided to flip out over the fact I marinated the steak in Tequila, I don’t want him to come. I don’t want to hear a peep out of him.

Mood: cautiously optimistic

Okay, I promised an update regarding the move and here it is.

I’m still a bit ambivalent about this whole move. A large part of me will be intensely glad to be out of Alpine Meadows, but another part is still waiting for the next shoe to fall.

Parkwood Green accepted our application (they don’t do credit checks, in fact crime seems to be the only thing they’re concerned with) and the bank went through on financing.

The (new) trailer was moved into the park yesterday, though the crew almost got into an accident on the way over. We had a sudden snow squall go through, which reduced visibility to almost zero. Apparently some lady hit the breaks unexpectedly, a semi swerved to avoid her and almost hit our trailer. However nothing happened and they finally made it into the spot… only to discover our water line had broken during the night. ^^;

Mom visited this morning on the way home and saw that everything is hooked up now, which should mean we can begin moving our stuff in. I’m still not sure which room I’m taking, but we can hash that out when we can actually move in.

The only other ugly thing is that we’re going to have to rent a power-washer to clean the trailer once it gets warm and the shed is full of garbage from the previous owner. >_> But that’s not too bad, considering.

Trudy, the owner of Cedar Mobile Home Service, is a miracle-worker. I swear. She’s taken care of all the permits, phone calls, even managed to talk a building inspector to give us a permit on his day off. Right now it’s looking like we’ll be able to live in the new trailer Monday or Tuesday. Trudy is good, let me tell you.

Another bad thing is that we couldn’t stay with Comcast. They don’t offer service in Sparta, even though it looks like they’re only a mile away. *sighs* Bye-bye anime, Food Network, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Anyroad, we’re going to take a load of junk to the trailer today and then we’re going out with Jodi tomorrow to pick out new appliances. (Note to self, turn Amazon store to vacation and get financial aid papers filled out!)

In other news, my main blog can now be set to friends only! (Haha!) I knew there had to be a plug-in to do this. ^_^

Instead of trying to inform everyone who needed the password, I can just send them logon information and be able to set things just like I can do on LiveJournal.

I just know I have some pretty weird people checking out my blog and I wanted a better way to protect sensitive entries. This is still my online diary, afterall. Yes, I want to share with my friends and family, but I don’t necessarily want my classmates reading my health-related posts. (or rants full of obscenities.)

Don’t worry, this isn’t going 100% friends only. I was just looking for a better way to protect posts to varying degrees.

What is it about Asian men with long hair that I find so attractive? I saw a guy about my age at the FIA today, long hair and wearing a long, brown leather coat. Behold — I practically start drooling. Pathetic, ne? ^_~

Classes are killing me, but I had several key questions answered today. Great, but they were answered with conflicting viewpoints. So my simple questions spawned about 30 more each. *sigh* I’ll write more about them when I have my homework done and have greymatter to donate to pondering the ponderable.

I start grinning when I hear the Ranma 1/2 theme. I love the theme, but yet I haven’t seen a single episode. But it made my day hearing it, so I’m not questioning a good thing.

Our Trailer sold in 3 weeks, with closing in March. The hell?? 2 years for a house, 3 weeks for a trailer. Yes, what the hell sums up my thoughts.

I completely agree with the classic thought about lawyers and attorneys.

Do NOT come to my house after 9pm without calling first. I don’t care if I’m living in a mansion or a cardboard box. I come from a family of cops and an unsolicited knock on my door at that hour is sure to scare the shit out of me. So spare your life and just don’t do it. Kthxbye

*sighs*

Tall, dark, handsome… with hair better than mine. *sigh* Yes, thou art mine weakness!

Look for a new layout soon. Yes, my first actual Web Design class is being spent making a new blog layout. Ph34r me and my l33t Dreamweaver skills! Yes… my precious… *strokes*
