About Me

Hi! I’m Sally Anderson. I live in the West Michigan area with my family, including my dog - Luna, two young cats named Echo and Kaze, and an ornery cockatiel named Miro.

I’m unmarried and have no children — unless you count my pets. ;-)

I’m a former student of Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, where I was Meteorology major. Having been a meteorology and astronomy enthusiast for much of my life, it seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish, which was primarily due to poor math skills — which is essential to success in that major.

I’m currently majoring in Computer Science, Web Design Concentration at Baker College, which I hope to have an associates degree in shortly. After that, I plan on shift my focus into a Bachelor’s in Web development — which aims more at software development, internet applications, and the creation and maintenance of database-driven web sites.

Interests

For the past five years, my one major hobby has been Web design / development. I enjoy the sensation of starting out with a blank page and making something that works well and looks great. I also enjoy taking what I’ve just learned and playing around with my eFiction site, which has resulted in various modifications and blocks.

I’m also one of those “weird” people who refuse to grow up, so I enjoy watching anime and reading several manga titles.

My other hobbies include cooking, photography, and creative writing.

My Favorites

My favorite anime/manga for now is Naruto, but only the manga and Japanese subs. I don’t have much time, money, or interest in watching TV anymore, so there’s not much else I watch. My other favorites include (and in no particular order) Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Inuyasha, Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, Full-Metal Alchemist, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. If I have time, I also enjoy a few non-animated shows such as CSI, CSI:Miami, and CSI: New York.

My taste in music is very eclectic, though right now I’m leaning more towards J-Pop, New Age, and video game remixes. The only genres I usually don’t care for is rap and country; though there are exceptions.
