Mood: annoyed
Public Service Announcement to anyone in my C++ class! This might come as a shock to you, but I don’t possess psychic powers. I have no talent in ESP. I can’t read your mind. I have no idea what you’re thinking, so you don’t have to worry about me snooping in on your thoughts or whatever. If you want me to do something, you’re going to need to communicate. Speak! Tell me what’s going on. Inform me to what happens in the group. I only have 3 - 4 hours to get homework in before I have to go to work, so I don’t have time to play guessing games with you. We have a group discussion board, use it. I read it daily. It’s shocking that there’s only been 2 new posts this week. Don’t reply with the project guidelines when I ask what’s going on or say I don’t know what we’re even supposed to be doing. I already know. You submitted almost the entire first half of the project without communicating with any of us. Either keep going or start talking. 9:26 pm
Mood: cold
As of the moment I’m writing this, it’s 3.3°F outside tonight. Winter can seriously end any time now. I think I’ve slept all day simply because I’ve been too cold to really do anything (even though we have the furnace turned up to 70°) They listen just so well at work. /sarcasm Last week Monday, I asked about the possibility of switching shifts so I could do an internship this summer. Not “I want to switch NOW”, but “would I be able to when I got something.” They decided we’ll be switching to 2nd Shift in the first of February. Oh well, I really have a hard time caring at the moment. So anyway, this week was really stupidly hectic. Trying to warm up a little so I can hurry and get some homework done so I can get back to e-mailing everyone.

I mean seriously — the S2 source code is a good way to learn but it would be much better facilitated by properly documenting your code like you’re supposed to! Still trying to get my new LiveJournal layout coded. I know I could have just re-styled an existing layout using CSS, but I wanted to use my full design — not LiveJournal’s. Besides, none of my attempts really resulted in anything usable. So, I’m actually coding my layout using S2. Trust me, it’s way more complicated than Wordpress or any of the other blog systems I’ve used. Couldn’t they have used a template system?? Oh well, I guess. I am pretty thankful for my experience in C++, Visual Basic, and Java.
Yes, if you know my schedule — I’m playing hooky tonight. We had heavy rain today, which changed over to heavy snow by the time we had to set out for work at 10pm. Visibility was down to maybe 5 - 10 feet and mom could barely keep control of the car at 15mph. It was really scary when we had to pass the swamp and then the lake; both have steep ravines down to the water. By the time we reached the firehouse (a truck pulled out just before we got there with full lights and sirens) we decided that retreat was the better part of valor. So anyway, still at home. Second week in a row we didn’t make it for the Friday shift. Oh well, I guess. Gives me a chance to catch up on havocmangawip’s yummy Havoc/Sciezka fic and code my LJ layout until I pass out. (Of course, the paper I have to write for WEB411 hasn’t found it’s way in front of me.) 7:33 pm
