Well, had my first full evening at Wal-Mart. And let me tell you - I fucking hate that place.

1.) Anyone working after 5pm has the task of “Zoning.” That’s basically cleaning your department. From 5pm to 11pm I was doing nothing but cleaning. In a couple spots, I cleaned the same aisle three times!

2.) My store in Grand Rapids seems to be Shoplifter’s Row. Everthing from a one of those fancy, expensive razors to a .94¢ broom. HELLLO, Loosers.

3.) Wal-Mart Entertainment Network - oh, how I loathe thy constant loop! It was such a relief when the store closed and the night crew turned on their music!

4.) The hours. I’ve worked from 2pm until 11 or 11:30pm before. Not here. I was scheduled until Midnight and I only worked until 11pm. Seems that I work from 5pm until whenever the CSM is happy with the way the departments look. If that’s 10:30pm, that’s all I work. Good thing we’re not living solely on my paycheck!

So, on my next day off the job hunt continues. They have me until I find something new / better, but that’s it. I’ve discovered that working with the public (and some of my coworkers) exhausts me. Plus, this schedule is completely messing up my control of my diabetes.

*sigh* I really need an office job - doing something I like. I need to finish college.

I have a job! ^____^ Walmart hired me! I have to go for a Drug Test tomorrow morning, but that should be no problem. Though I do feel kind of bad for making Poppa drive me out there… but Mom has to be to work at 7am and doesn’t get out until it’s too late for me to go. -_-;;

But I have a job!! *happy dances!* $7.45 / hour in the Housewares Dept. ^___^

Okay, now that that’s out of the way… I shall commence with a rant that’s kind of distracting me right now. lol ^^;; Don’t mind me - seriously! - I’m just venting.
